Memphis Get Ready for the Unique Combination of Chicken and Waffles!

There's also a lot of hype about the highly anticipated Grand Opening Party on February 9, 2008 from 7 to 10pm where there will be a live jazz band and giveaways.

When restaurant connoisseur Curtis Chism, Jr. had a vision to open up a Chicken and Belgian Waffles eatery many people gleamed with excitement because this type of cuisine is usually found at restaurants in cities such as Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. "It's time to bring a new flavor to Memphis" says Chism while looking around his swanky venue.
 

Onix is nestled in the center of downtown Memphis along the trolley tracks of Main Street. Adorned with dark reclaimed wood floors, romantic lighting, flat screen televisions, eccentric art and sounds of classic jazz the restaurant feels like a fusion of elegance and urban mystique.The outside patio serves as a great place to catch a breeze and take in the excitement of Downtown Memphis.

Onix Restaurant’s Chicken and Belgian Waffle are the main attractions. However, there are a myriad of tasty dishes that compliment the menu such as juicy burgers, southern fried catfish, fresh salads, healthy wraps, and delightful desserts. During the week you can grab lunch at a reasonable price from 11am to 2pm. All lunch menu items are priced at five bucks making Onix the place to grab good food at a great price. Happy Hour is Mon.-Fri. 4pm-7pm.

The restaurant and lounge caters to an upscale crowd and offers patrons many chances throughout the week to mix and mingle. Smooth 2 for 1 Margaritas prove to be the drink of choice at Margarita Monday Mixers and on Tuesday O’Poetry presents The Release, open mic poetry. The last Thursday of each month O’Comedy presents T³. At Tipsy Trippin’ Thursday you will be sure to get your laugh on! Onix brings the hottest local and national comedians to the stage. Lets not forget about the weekend! A live jazz band plays every Saturday from 8pm to 11pm. Onix does not close until 12am on Fridays and Saturdays, making it the perfect place to grab a delicious espresso after a night out on the town.
